What it’s for
Most cellar trackers make you retype the same wine everybody else has already entered. Cellar Dweller splits the problem in two: the objective facts about a bottle live in one catalogue that every member reads and improves, and everything subjective — what you paid, how you rated it, what you wrote about it — belongs to you and is visible only to you.
So adding a wine is usually a matter of finding it. When it is not, you add it and the next person is spared the typing. Corrections work the same way: anyone can fix a wrong vintage or a missing region, and the change is attributed.
On top of that sits the practical part — which bottles you actually hold, where they are stored, what you have drunk, and which are coming into their window. It is the difference between a list of wines and a cellar you can run.
Wines
One catalogue, your own opinion of it
A bottle is described once — producer, grape, vintage, region — and everybody shares that description. What you paid, how you rated it, whether it is a favourite and what you thought of it stay yours alone. Add a wine nobody has catalogued yet and it becomes available to everyone; your notes on it never do.

Every winery in the catalogue, with a faceted rail that narrows by country, state and region as you go. Any signed-in member can add one they cannot find, and an optional map plots the producers on the page you are looking at.

Regions
232 regions, 535 appellations
A curated geography of the wine world — Barossa Valley to Bolgheri, Russian River Valley to the Rheingau — each with its sub-regions, an AI-written background, and a map. Region names are checked against ISO-3166 so the data stays clean rather than drifting into near-duplicates.

Signing in, and your Google data
You can sign in to Cellar Dweller with an email and password, with a one-time link we email you, or with your Google account. All three do the same thing: prove the account is yours.
If you choose Google, we ask Google for three things and nothing else: your email address, your basic profile (your name and profile picture), and confirmation that you are signed in. We use your email address to identify your account and to send you sign-in links and password resets, and your name so the app can address you properly.
We do not request access to Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Contacts, Photos or any other Google service. We never post, send or change anything in your Google account. We do not sell or share what we receive, and it is used only to run your Cellar Dweller account.
You can remove Cellar Dweller’s access at any time from your Google account permissions, and you can delete your Cellar Dweller account and everything in it from the app itself. The Privacy Policy sets all of this out in full.
