Terms of Service
Cellar Dweller is run by an individual, not a company. These terms are deliberately short and say plainly what you can expect and what you cannot.
Using the app
You need an account. Keep your sign-in details to yourself — anyone with access to your email can obtain a sign-in link, so treat your inbox as the key to your account.
The app is about wine. It is not intended for anyone under the legal drinking age where they live.
Please do not:
- Deliberately enter false or misleading information into the shared catalogue.
- Attempt to reach other members’ private records.
- Automate requests at a volume that degrades the service for others.
- Use the app to store anything unlawful.
What you contribute, and what stays yours
The catalogue is shared.Wines and wineries you add or correct become part of a catalogue every member uses. You grant permission for those contributions to be stored, displayed and edited by others within the app. You cannot withdraw them later, because other members’ records come to depend on them — but your name is detached from them if you close your account.
Your records stay yours. Your prices, ratings, notes, cellar and locations are private to you, are never shown to other members, and are deleted with your account. We claim no ownership of them.
The catalogue is not authoritative
Regional data, producer details and AI-written background notes are compiled from public sources and contributed by members. They will contain mistakes. Do not rely on anything here for a purchase, an insurance valuation, or anything else that matters financially.
Availability
The app is provided as it is, with no guarantee of uptime, no guarantee that it will keep working, and no guarantee it will still exist in a year. It may change or be discontinued without notice.
Keep your own copy of anything you would miss. The export on your Account Management page produces a complete file of your records in seconds, and using it occasionally is a sensible habit.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for any loss arising from using the app — including lost or corrupted data, unavailability, or decisions made on the strength of information shown here. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under Australian Consumer Law.
Ending your account
You may delete your account at any time from Account Management; it happens immediately and cannot be undone. The operator may suspend or remove an account that breaches these terms, and will normally explain why first unless doing so would make matters worse.
Changes
These terms may change. Material changes update the date below, and continuing to use the app afterwards means accepting them.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia.
